ACCESS ROAD TO LA SPEZIA PORT HUB PROJECT AND ENVIRONMENTAL MONITORING ACTIVITIES

Description of the work
ANAS spa, the Italian National Autonomous Roads Corporation assigned the Environmental component of the project to the joint venture formed by ATI COESTRA, ETRURIA-SECOL. The consulting services included environmental monitoring activities and engineering interventions for mitigation measures.

ATI commissioned ambiente s.c. the realization of a hydro-geological and vibrational survey and the implementation of the monitoring and environmental control plan, designed for the construction phase.

Articulation of activities
ambiente s.c. was also commissioned to draft the following parts of the construction project:
VIBRATION SURVEY IN ACCORDANCE WITH CIPE PROVISIONS
ambiente s.c performed surveys and designed acoustic mitigation measured in order to determine and eventually reduce the potential noise pollution in the residential areas adjacent to the access road to La Spezia port hub.

ENVIRONMENTAL MONITORING PLAN AND ENVIRONMENTAL MONITORING
The environmental components to monitor included: Surface and Groundwater, Atmosphere, Vegetation, Soil, Noise and Vibrations, Landscape, Traffic and Waste.

CONSTRUCTION WASTE MANAGEMENT PLAN
The document defined the management plan for the excavated materials produced during the construction phase of the infrastructure. It included an appropriate sampling plan in order to verify the legal compliance of the chosen management, storage and chemical and physical analysis of the excavated materials.
